Plenty of varietal character in the nose, with a leafy touch, hints of olives and chocolate, dry, hearty and savory on the palate showing a dense & profound structure, red berries and cherry fruit, followed again by ethereal notes, still very youthful, impressive density, full bodied without showing any unpleasant weight, in a perfect balance, long elegant finish.
This wine is sourced from the famous Heiligenstein where Cabernet Franc vines grow in the "Lyra trellis system". This vineyard was planted by Willi 30 years ago with special foresight for future generations.
