Key week for “Erste Lagen” Grüner
With the utmost concentration we are processing probably this year’s most significant harvest week of our Kamptal ‘first growth’ vineyards (Erste Lagen ÖTW). The results of these wonderful days may be crucial for the final evaluation of vintage 2020 around Langenlois.
So far, grapes have been brought to the presses from sites as ‘Zöbinger Heiligenstein,’ ‘Langenloiser Käferberg,’ ‘Kammerner Lamm’ and, as of today, from ‘Langenloiser Loiserberg.’ They make our hearts beat faster: perfect gradation, not too heavy, good acidity and full of flavours due to the October weather with several changes of warm and cool periods and also strong diurnal temperature variations.
Moods are high, despite the long harvest days and weeks: while heading towards the finals with full speed, we keep enjoying news about the truly great success of our 2019 Grüners and Rieslings AND last not least, we welcome little Linus! Congrats to our young parents Julia and Christopher & to the new ‘granny’ Martina!
