A perfect first week!
Kick off with Pinot Noir
Our first harvest week went really well! Nice temperatures and a lot of sunshine pushed ripeness and made work easier for us. Since Monday we have been occupied with grapes for Sekt base wines starting with Pinot Noir then followed by Chardonnay. Next week the grapes for our light Grüner Veltliner should be ready to pick.
For more than two weeks the weather played along perfectly. Now the change from late summer to early autumn has been forecasted. If it does not get all too wet, just fine with us!
Our first trainees (two more soon to blend in) have been well accepted by our sportive cellar team at the presses (Photo l. to r. Bernhard, Johannes, Dominik, Simon, Cécile, Moritz, Florian, Philipp, Janusz & Sigi on his knees).
