The Veltliner grapes for the "Kamptal DAC Reserve" style show such versatility, fitting to, for example, a range of exotic foods such as curries and wok dishes. Also ideal are typical Austrian specialties like roast pork, duck or liver, and baked dishes as well. As the wine matures, the range of possibilities grows generously. Cheese, casseroles and strong fish dishes are other fine matches.

A variety of red berries and abricots; powerful and strong, very distinctive with nice extract sweetness; long and good for ageing.
Food pairing recommendation
All types of starters, seafood, marinated, smoked or grilled fish, fried chicken or Schnitzel; white meats, a good alternative to red wine in combination with roast fat duck; matches with all sorts of Pan Asian cuisine.

An exemplary Riesling right from the beginning: notes of candied pineapple and milk chocolate, some nougat and hazelnut, yet clear and shiny with gorgeous nuances and numerous facets; surprisingly light fruity tint; highly elegant; a truly individual Riesling whose elegant charisma and early fruit charm can leave you almost speechless. Extremely dense and expressive, gliding across the palate with perfectly balanced acidity. An immensely long, razor-sharp wine, wonderful for festive occasions; obviously a Riesling that will live for many decades !

Food pairing recommendation
An excellent food companion with grilled fish, roast or fried chicken, salted or smoked meats (but without sauerkraut!), Wiener schnitzel, or as an alternative to red wine with roast duck or goose. It’s also ideally suited to many hearty exotic dishes . After some years of maturing, it can be recommended for fish with a variety of sauces - such as beurre blanc or Riesling cream sauce.
