Bründlmayer supports Red Cross Charity – Project: „Rotkreuz-Wein- Henry Dunant“ has been released

On November 25, 2024, Weingut Bründlmayer & the Red Cross of Lower Austria presented the latest “Rot-Kreuz-Wein”, which was named after the founding father “Henry Dunant”.

The grapes for the Langenloiser Grüner Veltliner come from vineyards that differ greatly in character: The vines planted further up, on stony (primary rock) soils, produce particularly fragrant, delicate wines. The loess and clay terraces further down produce expressive qualities that lend the wine charming fruit and fullness. The whole grapes are gently pressed, fermented in steel tanks and matured for a short time on the fine lees. This allows them to retain their typical varietal aroma.

For every bottle of “Henry Dunant” wine sold, € 4 is donated to the learning centers in Lower Austria.
By purchasing the Grüner Veltliner “Henry Dunant”, we are jointly supporting the “Lernhäuser in Niederösterreich” and thus helping socially disadvantaged children and young people aged 6 to 15 to learn free of charge.

Tasting notes:
Quality wine from Lower Austria, certified organic and sustainable. With its delicate, varietal fruit with hints of flowers, fresh green apples, citrus and a subtle spiciness, the “Henry Dunant” Grüner Veltliner is an excellent accompaniment to fish dishes (brown trout, salmon trout, char), ceviche, vegetarian dishes (quiche) as well as antipasti (caprese, smoked meats) or simply with a Heurigen snack. Dry, fresh with a juicy, ripe acidity structure on the palate, the Veltliner is medium-bodied, delicate, well-structured and perfectly balanced.

The Henry Dunant Veltliner goes “with any dish, at any time of day and on any occasion associated with human interaction” (Willi Bründlmayer).
