And as of today the hat trick is perfect: Bründlmayer Ried Zöbinger Heiligenstein 1ÖTW Lyra 2019 is winner of the Vinaria "Riesling - Premium" Tasting (“Vinaria”, Nr. 06/2020) earning 18.8/20 Points.
Even for the top team of the Bründlmayer family estate, it is a mind blowing fact that every single 2019 Riesling of this surly and exceptional vineyard, could win at least one of the most important annual expert tastings in Austria and may be called “Best Austrian Riesling 2020” of its category.
“The only sad thing is: No time for partying now!” says estate manager and Master of Wine Andreas Wickhoff. “Now, with this perfect harvest weather, we’ve got our hands full! For sure, also with vintage 2020, we will try to play in the big league! But – postponed is not abandoned!”
